If he keeps digging, he will learn for himself that their fears are true. Killing Narvi would be a great way to advance the beginning of the Khajad-Dum story — especially if Durin III learns of his death and chooses to plow ahead with his mining project anyway. I’m not sure Narvi’s death will be strong with the little characterization she’s had so far, but it might move the story forward.

The stranger is having disturbing dreams about the Harfoots ring of power Season 2, and I fear that Poppy may be in danger in the last two episodes. The Stranger tells Tom Bombadil that Norrie and Poppy will both die if he doesn’t return to them. There is no telling if this prediction is correct, but Tom is certainly confident in the accuracy of such a view. Of course, it’s probably too early to kill Nori Ring of Power. Poppy, on the other hand, may be killed to advance Nori’s narrative.
I hope the series doesn’t go down this path, because the dynamic between the two Harfoots is one of its best. And if Poppy’s arc really mirrors that of Samwise Gamgee, she’ll eventually follow Nori. But as Harfoots and Storr retreat against Rune’s dark wizard, I have a feeling someone is going to get killed. Perhaps the villain will go after the store, but Strangers’ dreams make me think that Poppy’s life might be on the line too.
