Blink-182 singer-bassist and co-founding member Mark Hoppus announced Fahrenheit-182her new memoir co-written with him Sale by Dan Ozzy. The book goes on sale April 8, 2025 through Dey Street Books. In the unashamedly infomercial-style video, Hoppus promises the memoir will touch on skateboarding, ’90s music and the band’s breakup, as well as his cancer diagnosis, which he’s treating with chemotherapy.
“This is the story of what happens when a troubled kid growing up in the desert experiences his parents’ bitter divorce, travels the country, switches identities from goth to skate punk, and eventually meets his best friend who just happens to be who happens to be his musical soulmate,” the book’s description says. “Combined with constant struggles with anxiety and the very human story of Mark’s public battle and triumph over cancer, Fahrenheit-182 a delight for fans, as well as a funny, smart and relatable memoir for anyone who wanted to quit but kept going.”
Hoppus isn’t the first member of Blink-182 to write a book. Travis Barker released his own memoir. Can I say?
