Bruce Springsteen released his 2015 Jesse Malin “He doesn’t love me now“. The new song appears on an upcoming cover collection Silver Patron Saints. Find the path below.
Springsteen is among the many artists paying tribute to Mali across the board Silver Patron Saints. Proceeds from the album will benefit the New York musician Sweet Relief Foundationwhich was created after he suffered a rare and sudden spinal cord injury in 2023 that left him paralyzed from the waist down.
Springsteen recorded “She Don’t Love Me Now” with Malin’s band and his E Street Band saxophonist Jake Clemons. “Bruce delivered the Stax-soul we dreamed of when we recorded the original,” Malin noted in a press release. “It’s so surreal to me.”
Malin and Springsteen previously collaborated in 2007.Broken radio“, which was re-released in 2022 as “Broken Radio ’22“. During further discussion of Springsteen, Malin said: “Bruce’s generosity, honesty and support are as powerful as his songs and performance. Bruce is one of the boys. He walks like he talks. You spend some time with him and it feels like you’ve known him for years. He’s like my friends from Queens who sit around and talk about Sinatra and the Clashes and the Pogues. He has that passion and excitement for life.”
