Cass McCombs released a surprise album. Seed cake in a leap year. Released on digital, vinyl and CD copies on November 8th Dominothe new LP is a collection of previously unreleased music that McCombs recorded in Jason Coover’s San Francisco apartment between 1999 and 2000 while he was living in Berklee. To celebrate the album’s release, McCombs also shared three music videos for new songs: “Anchor Child,” “Baby,” and “I’ve Played This Song Before.” All three Seed cake in a leap year the visuals were shot on camera by various friends of his and edited together by Michelle Yoon.

McCombs starts next week North American tour. The run includes stops in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Baltimore and other cities, with select performances by Papercuts and Advance opening.
