If there’s one thing Nev Schulman knows well, it is catfishing! And he is weighing in on the biggest story about it right now: Brittany Furlan and Ronnie Radke!
As we previously reported, the social media personality’s marriage to Tommy Lee nearly came to an end last year because she fell in love with, per his side of the story anyway, someone posing as the Falling In Reverse frontman on Snapchat. At least that’s the claim Ronnie has been running with for months. The 42-year-old swears that Brittany got catfished, and that it was never him who spoke to her online. In fact, he claims the FBI got involved at the height of the scandal because several other women were allegedly victims of the same catfish. But the Vine star doesn’t believe Ronnie. She thinks it’s really the musician behind the Snapchat account — even going as far as to accuse him of interacting inappropriately with underage fans.

The God Is A Weapon artist filed a restraining order against Brittany for allegedly harassing him amid the scandal, which a judge denied. And now the former Catfish host won’t be very helpful to him! Why? He is Team Brittany!
During The TMZ Podcast on Friday, Nev said he is friends with both Brittany and Ronnie’s ex-girlfriend, WWE star Saraya, so he talked to both of them on the phone this week to get the “facts” about what happened. Although the television personality is biased, after hearing their takes, he trusts and believes Brittany more! Nev went on to explain:
“I don’t know Ronnie personally. But from what I’ve heard from both of these women, and I’m inclined to believe the women, he may not be the most trustworthy, caring, and truthful, honest guy. So, I’m just going to say that if I had to choose who’s telling the truth here and who’s more likely to be using this whole situation to benefit them, even if it means it comes at the cost of others, I’m inclined to side with Brittany.”
He claimed the rock star has a history of lying. And from Nev’s perspective, if Ronnie was telling the truth, he could have worked things out with Brittany and Tommy privately. They also all could’ve teamed up to figure out who the real catfish was. But as we all know, that did not happen. The reality star continued:
“What I don’t understand is why it became such a conflict? Why is there this ongoing feud? Why Ronnie continues to, to some degree, fan the flames? And I understand some people say Brittany is sort of doing the same thing. It just seems strange to me that this continues to be an issue when, if Ronnie’s telling the truth, wouldn’t he just want to be cooperative and sort of squash this as quickly as possible, so that it no longer sheds a negative light on either of them.”
It’s just more bad news for Ronnie! He won’t have a catfish expert like Nev on his side! Watch his entire explanation on the podcast episode (below):
Ronnie isn’t too thrilled about Nev’s comments now! He BLASTED him in a video posted to social media on Friday, accusing him of lying. According to Ronnie, Nev never spoke to his ex-girlfriend. He also alleged the host is trying to “make money off of” him via a show deal with TMZ:
“Nev Schulman, you’re literally lying. Nev Schulman saying that he pretty much spoke to my ex-girlfriend, Saraya, regarding this whole thing, and pretty much implying that I’m known for lying and I’m a liar because of what I’ve done to this person and that person, implying that Saraya has anything to do with this. Well, let me tell you something. I just had an hour-long phone call with Saraya, and you’re lying, Nev. That never happened. You got all your information from Brittany and then lumped Saraya in on this to make it seem like something crazy, so you can get yourself a TMZ deal, where you can do a show and make some money off of me.”
Hmm… Why would Nev lie, though? Couldn’t Ronnie’s ex easily come out and say she’s never spoken to him if so? Why would he risk so much here with no real dog in the race?
Ronnie continued:
“What happened to believing or looking at the evidence? You don’t want to see the evidence. You’re so biased that your friend — you admitted to being friends with Brittany. You want to come on here and say that I’m lying and say that my ex is saying that when it never happened. You’re a liar.”
The former Escape the Fate frontman then brought up Nev’s statement to “believe all women,” saying:
“We should, shouldn’t we? We should believe them all right? Just like this one.”
That’s when Ronnie pulled up a screenshot of an article about Nev being accused of sexual misconduct by a woman while filming Catfish back in 2018, adding:
“I totally believe her. I think you did it.”
Yikes! This is getting messier! Watch Ronnie’s response (below):
At this time, Nev hasn’t reacted to Ronnie’s video. What do YOU think, Perezcious readers? Whose side are you on? Sound OFF in the comments!
