Oklahoma City noise rockers Chat stack they have officially released the third single from their upcoming sophomore album, Cool World:. After three and a half minutes, “Funny Man” is loud, bass-heavy and furious.

Vocalist Raigun Bush said about the new song.

“[The song is about]… to be of service, committed or otherwise. I hate to explain the content of these songs because I want it to mean everything it needs to for the listeners, but basically it’s about illusion versus reality. With America and War. The title is from an obscure British film, but otherwise unrelated.”

A lie, Chat stack‘s bassist added another perspective that includes every Hesher’s favorite show.

“My favorite thing about ‘Funny Man’ is that we finally got to create our own version of Beavis and Butthead’s couch music. A lie said: “This is like our Thunder 65 or Existence is Punishment.”

“The patient, static nature of the video combating the frenetic energy of the song creates a cold and unsettling juxtaposition that I personally love. We’ve all experienced it, but we can’t quite put our finger on it.”
