French duo Justice and Tame Impala have released a music video for themselves Hyperdrama collaboration “Neverender”. The psychedelic animated visual was produced by Cheka and directed by Masanobu Hiraoka, Kota Iguchi and Armand Bero. Watch the clip, which combines vintage Japanese anime with Art Nouveau, below.

“The ‘Neverender’ music video gave us a great opportunity to convey many of our visual influences, while making them even more special through Masanobu Hiraoka’s unique reimagining,” said Justice’s Javier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé in a press release. They continued.

With longtime collaborators Pascal Teixeira and Armand Berro, we took initial inspiration from the 1980s anime titles we grew up on, which set the visual tone for the video. From there naturally emerged other key figures from our teenage years. Whether it’s Moebius’ work, psychedelic art, graphic novels, or iconic movie posters that have mesmerized us, Masanobu’s style has seamlessly absorbed and united them all.

Justice has also announced a ‘Neverender’ remix EP, which will include album, radio edits and extended versions of the track, as well as covers of Kaytranada and Keinemusik’s Rampa. The CE will arrive this Friday, September 27th.

Hyperdrama was released this spring, marking Justice’s first album in eight years. The LP featured Tame Impala on both “Neverender” and “One Night/All Night”. Other contributors include Rimon, Flints, Conan Moccasin, Miguel, and Thundercat.
