Rhinoceros announced a live album from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. The new release, Lives in Fillmore East, 1969filming the band’s performance at New York’s Fillmore East. It to show took place on Saturday 20th September 1969 and its multi-track recording has just been revealed. Stephen Stills and Neil Youngworking with John Hanlon at Sound of sunsetin Hollywood, California, collected and mixed the eight-song concert recordings for the new album. Lives in Fillmore East, 1969 features an acoustic section with renditions of Hopeless Hope, The Beatles’ “Blackbird”, Buffalo Springfield’s “On the Way Home” and “Broken Arrow”, Deja Vu’s “4 + 20” and more, and a shorter electric section featuring. “Sea of Madness”, “By the River” and others.
The statement says: Graham Nash “Listening to the music again after all these years, I can tell you how much we loved each other and loved the music we made. It was the four of us enjoying the different sounds we were making, singing together quietly on one side, then rocking out for the rest of the concert.”
Lives in Fillmore East, 1969 It will be released on October 25th. It’s the band’s first archival release since David Crosby i am deadIn January 2023, at the age of 81.
