Josh Tillman presented his sixth studio album Father John Misty. Mahasmashana on November 22 via Sub Pop. Tillman also shared a song from the album “Screamland” and its music video, which was directed by Estefania Kroll. “The video is a visual journey into the depths of Screamland that captures the essence of both the music and the artists,” Kroll said in a statement. “Father John Misty blends seamlessly into the scene, becoming part of the city, a living echo of Screamland.”
Co-produced by Tillman Mahasmashana With Drew Erickson working the front Chloe and the Next 20th Century. Longtime collaborator Jonathan Wilson served as executive producer. In addition, BJ Burton mixed the tracks “Screamland” and “Josh Tillman and the Accidental Dose”.
Mahāśmaśāna (महामशान) is a Sanskrit word meaning “great cremation ground”, the press release said. The album includes “I Guess Time Just Makes Fools of Us”, an eight-and-a-half-minute track that appeared on the latter compilation. Greatest Hits:.
