Five Finger Death Punch front man Ivan Moody is recovering after injuring himself on stage at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky. Moody shared an update on his condition on his Instagram story (which he transcribed PRP:) while he was waiting to be seen at the hospital. “I woke up this morning after the adrenaline wore off … and I have a bruise that goes from the inside of my armpit down to my knee and my arm looks like it’s broken … Moody said in a video showing the injuries to his hand. “Then see.”
Another Instagram story was featured later Moody after visiting the doctor, saying that the official diagnosis was a rib fracture. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” he says of the injury, while still in a good mood about it. “It’s always something, man. Well, I’ll tell you that, it was worth it.”
Five Finger Death Punch was one of the bands that went to Thursday because of the remnants of Hurricane Helen, the festival canceled Friday’s performances Moody’s falls on the video and it looks like the vocalist was doing something too extreme. In the video it looks like he’s just singing and then trying to get to the other side of the stage. Although it would be more metal if he the injuries he sustained while trying to crowdsurf or something, we’re still glad his injuries weren’t more severe for now.
