In Green Lantern #13 By Jeremy Adams and Fernando Passarin, the last remnants of the Resistance Corps gather OA deep underground. Jessica Cruz, a resistance double agent, stops by to check on her comrades, but everyone is on edge. Hal manages to escape, but Joe and Simon are locked up and the group leaves the hideout.

After taking control of the Green Lantern Corps, Tharos began using his position to attack other forces. He brought new Lanterns and used them to blow up the central power batteries of almost every other Corps, making the Green Lanterns virtually the only lightsaber in the DC Universe. Tharos’ lanterns were also able to use other lights on the emotional spectrum, shocking Hal Jordan when he saw them in battle. It’s been clear for a while that something is going on with Kyle (which implies that no one knows the emotional spectrum as intimately as he does). Given Kyle’s past training with the other lights, it’s no shock that he’s the one who seems to speak through the emotional spectrum. Tharos’s repeated attacks are distorting the source of power and reflect nothing better than Kyle’s new custom. Right now, the lights are bleeding into each other and nothing is defined. Green Lantern’s new look may seem cool at firstBut it’s an ominous sign of what could be on the horizon.

Tharos is a madman who has no idea what harm he is doing in the name of power. One look at Kyle Renner shows just how bad things are getting right now. Kyle can master the emotional spectrum, but he shouldn’t be channeling other lights like this. If this continues, who knows how it can end? One thing is certain right now: Kyle is the only way anyone can determine the stability of the emotional spectrum. But by appearance Green Lantern’s New costume, it won’t be long before the entire DC Universe feels the consequences of Tharos’ actions.
