Fans of alt-metal heroes Halestorm won’t have to wait long for the band’s 2022 release. Back from the deadas a soloist Lizzie Hale confirmed that the band is close to finishing their new album in the studio with a producer Dave Cobb. In a recent interview with Louisville, Kentucky radio station ALT 105.1 (which was transcribed by Blabbermouth) Hale talked about their progress in making the album.
“We’ve had three separate sessions in the studio with whom we’re making the record [producer] Dave Cobb“, Hale explained “And he’s actually a big closet metal fan. And so we’re making this great music. So we’ve had, like, three different sessions in the studio , probably, what are we? — There, 70, 80, maybe percent. We’ve got a studio in our house and I’m finishing up the vocals and sewing everything and doing solos and all that. And then we come back in December and we’re just like, “Okay, this is good. And then we’re there. So we’re really excited about that.”
Meanwhile Cobb Known mostly for country music, particularly because of his many awards, including several Grammys, even for country albums, he’s actually no stranger to the metal world. Cobb produced Slash’s album 4: that he recorded with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, as well as Sammy Hagar and the Circle’s 2022 album. Crazy Times. So it only seems fitting that he works on Halestorm’s latest album. We can’t wait to hear it.
