Japandroids return with another new single from their upcoming latest album, Fate and alcohol. The new song “All Bets Are Off,” which closes the LP, was inspired directly by singer-guitarist Brian King’s tour diary of a weekend in which he spotted an old flame while he was at a bar watching the characters. “All Bets Are Off” follows the previously released Fate and alcohol singles “D&T” and “Chicago.” The full album will be released on October 18. Explaining how they approached their new and latest LP, Japandroids “made sure previously torn into our jam space. [longtime recording engineer] Jessie [Gander] ever heard that,” is one way for them to prioritize energy and volume.
