Perry replied. “Look, I understand that there have been a lot of conversations, and he was one of them many collaborators that I’ve collaborated with, but the reality is that it comes from me.” He continued. “The truth is, I wrote these songs from my life’s experience of going through this metamorphosis. And he was one of the people who helped facilitate it all, one of the writers, one of the producers. And I speak from my own experience.”
Perry continued. I made a whole donkey heart. And I did, and I still do. And I’m still a matriarch and feel really grounded about it. That’s where I’m talking from. And so I created all of this with a few different collaborators, people that I’ve worked with in the past, A teenage dream like, all of that.”
