Linkin Park announces tour and first album since Chester Bennington’s death, share new song and video

Linkin Park they have announced their first new studio album since May 2017 One more light. The new album From zerowill be released on November 15th Warner. The group also shared a new song, “The Emptiness Machine,” which appears in Jo Han’s music video. Find it below.

From zero is Linkin Park’s first new album since deathJuly 2017 by solo artist Chester Bennington. The band still has the original members Mike ShinodaBrad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell and Joe Hahn, and are joined by new vocalist Emily Armstrong and new drummer Colin Brittain.

Linkin Park has not performed since Bennington Tribute Showat the Hollywood Bowl, October 2017. They will begin their From Zero World Tour next week. See the schedule of the group below.

After Bennington’s death, Mike Shinoda released solo albums Post-traumatic and: Circles passed. He too won a Grammy Award For the Deftones remixA passenger“. Discussing the group’s new initiative in a press release, Shinoda said:

Before Linkin Park, our first band name was Xero. This album title refers to both these humble beginnings and the journey we are currently on. Sonically and emotionally, it’s about the past, present and future, embracing our sound, but new and full of life. It was done with deep appreciation for our new and long-time bandmates, our friends, our family, and our fans. We are proud of what Linkin Park has become over the years and are excited for the journey ahead.

The more we worked with Emily and Colin, the more we enjoyed their world-class talents, their company, and the things we created. We feel really empowered by this new lineup and the vibrant and energetic new music we’ve created together. We’re weaving in the sonic touchpoints we’ve become known for and still exploring new ones.
