MJ Lenderman has postponed the first three dates of his upcoming tour in support Manning Fireworks “Due to the ongoing natural disaster and humanitarian crisis caused by Hurricane Helen in Western North Carolina, where most of the MJ Lenderman crew and their families are based,” her Instagram post read. Flooding from Hurricane Helen left thousands without power in Western North Carolina, destroying roads and destroying homes and businesses.

“Our tour will now begin this Sunday in Knoxville,” the post continued. “Please stay tuned for more information on upcoming shows for Atlanta and Nashville.” Lenderman, a native of Asheville, also shared links with local disaster relief organizations and foundations he trusts if fans want to donate to help those affected by the storm.

The majority of Lenderman’s extensive tour is otherwise unaffected by the selected delayed dates. To him Manning Fireworks the tour now kicks off on October 6th in Knoxville, Tennessee and keeps Lenderman and his band on the road until next April. Selected opening acts include Ryan Davis & the Roadhouse Band, Hollow Hand, Wild Pink, This Is Lorelei and Nap Eyes.

MJ Lenderman & the Wind covered the song last month Manning Fireworks single on “Wristwatch”. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. It was his late-night TV solo performance, and Lenderman was also accompanied by his Wednesday bandmate Carly Hartzman on backing vocals and drums.
