I was discharged this morning after they stitched up my arterial bleeding but Jake: he is still in the hospital. He received 29 stitches in his stomach and 10 stitches in his calf. In a follow-up Instagram post yesterday, No Cure announced that instead of a GoFundMe, the band is releasing a limited number of t-shirts and merchandise to help pay for the band’s medical expenses. “We don’t want to go the GFM route unless we absolutely have to,” the post reads, “and it feels better if people get something out of helping us with this. So if you want to carry the scar that Jake will carry for the rest of his life, we’ve got you.”

“The shirts are also comfortable colors,” the post continues, “so they’ll be very soft and not knife-like at all. There’s zero chance this shirt will stab you.” The two covers stand out Murnane scars, and the band says the printer was kind enough to waive their usual fees so that all the money would go towards the band’s medical bills.

“Also for those asking, yes the person who stabbed us went to jail,” the update continued. “No, we did not call the police. Friends called EMS because we were leaking everywhere, which was nice of them. Yeah, that joke is funny anyway.”

At $29.95, the shirts are worth it for the history and wearability Murnane scar We’re glad the band members are doing well now, and we hope the shirts go a long way toward defraying the medical expenses.
