Opt has delayed their new record Last will and testament from October 11 to November 22. Opt citing unforeseen delays in the manufacturing process for the new release date.

“We strive to provide the highest quality product, and to achieve this we need a little more time to ensure that the final release meets our standards,” he wrote. Opt front man Michael Akerfeldt. “We understand this may be a disappointment, but we sincerely appreciate your patience and continued support. We can’t wait to share this new music with you, and we’re sure it will be worth the wait.”

Last will and testament is a post-World War I concept album about a wealthy, conservative patriarch whose last will and testament reveal shocking family secrets. The story weaves in the confessions of the patriarch, the reactions of his twin children, and the mysterious presence of a polio-stricken girl whom the family has taken care of.

Wires on Last will and testament were organized Åkerfeldt and: Dave Stewart (Egg, Khan) and directed by Stewart at Angel Studios in London. Flutist and Jethro Tull main man Ian Anderson reports “§1”, “§2”, “§4” and “§7”; and flute on “§4” and “§7”. Europeof Joey Tempest provides his backing vocals on “§2” while Åkerfeldtthe youngest daughter of Mirjam Akerfeldt It is the disembodied voice of “§1”.
