Refresh: Nurgent replied: “Hey! Eddie: join me on my RAV spirit campfire to discuss how your insane liberal policies have engineered an explosion of violent recidivism while you struggle to disarm helpless innocent citizens.”
Original story: Ted Nugent has been an outspoken advocate of gun ownership throughout his career. Nurgent Served on the National Rifle Association (NRA) Board of Directors for 26 years, resigning in 2021 due to “scheduling conflicts.” long story short Nurgent is blatantly conservative and probably won’t be thrilled Pearl JamHis classic 1975 track Stranglehold.
At a show in Baltimore on September 12, Pearl Jam launched into a partial cover of “Stranglehold” featuring the vocalist Eddie Vedder singing “I don’t own a gun, I don’t ever want to own a gun / I don’t own a gun, never want to own a gun” several times. The cover faded, Pearl Jam played “Even Flow,” and the political moment was over.
Nurgent hasn’t yet responded to the cover or its lyrical variation, but I’m sure it’ll be in proportion and perfectly normal, just like everything else he’s ever said. The remaining 25 song set was as follows.
