Since late 2023, Diddy has been sued several times for alleged sexual harassment. The first major lawsuit came from the singer and his ex-girlfriend Cassie, who accused Diddy of physical and sexual harassment. That lawsuit was settled the day after it was filed, Diddy’s attorney said. Combs’ decision to settle the lawsuit in no way undermines his categorical denial of the claims.” Months later, CNN released hotel surveillance footage of Diddy hitting, dragging and physically assaulting Cassie in 2016. Diddy posted an apology video without naming her, and Cassie thanked people for their support in a rare public statement, saying: “My only request is that ALL of you open your heart to the faithful victims for the first time. It takes a lot of heart to tell the truth from a situation where you were powerless.”

A number of other people have since come forward to sue Diddy. Last November, Joey Dickerson-Neal accused the producer of assault, battery, sex trafficking and more, while Lisa Gardner claimed Diddy and R&B singer Aaron Hall sexually assaulted her and a boyfriend in the early 1990s. The following month, Jane Doe alleged that Diddy, former Bad Boy Entertainment president Harvey Pierre and an unnamed third party “sexually trafficked and gang-raped” her in 2003 when she was a 17-year-old high school student. In February, music producer Rodney Jones Jr. said Didi sexually assaulted and groomed her, among other allegations. Former model Crystal McKinney also sued Diddy for sexual assault in May, as did April Lampros, who claimed Diddy sexually assaulted her several times in the 1990s.

Several more lawsuits have been filed against Diddy this summer. In July, Adria English, a former adult film star, accused him of alleged sex trafficking, sexual harassment and other allegations. English claims Diddy hired her to work as a “go-go dancer” at a party in 2004 before hiring her again for drug-fueled parties where she was forced to have sex with guests. Last week, Don Richard also sued Diddy for sexual harassment, battery, sex trafficking, abuse and copyright infringement dating back to the reality show in the early 2000s. Preparation of the group and by 2011, two years after Denity Kane disbanded. According to the lawsuit, Richard also witnessed Diddy abuse Cassie and other women.

Didi has repeatedly denied all allegations of sexual harassment. “Let me be very clear. I haven’t done the horrible things that are supposed to happen. I will fight for my name, my family and the truth,” the rapper and mogul said in December 2023. However, he pleaded guilty to physically assaulting Cassie in March 2016 after CNN released footage of that particular incident. “My behavior in that video is inexcusable,” he said. “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video.” Diddy also stepped down as chairman of Revolt, which he co-founded in 2013, and sold his remaining stake in the media company.
