Slaughter To prevail leans quite heavily on the Japanese manga series (and subsequent anime) crazy for their latest single “Behelit”. The song includes a music video created by Haterjov from the anime, while the music should appeal to anyone who doesn’t like symphonic deathcore.

His determination to become the strongest fighter is something to be admired. But what really fascinates me is the way he’s shown to be ruthless, unstoppable, yet with some hidden vulnerability, like you never know what he’s going to do next.

Interestingly, he doesn’t see himself as a hero, many times he even seems to hate the responsibility of protecting others. But still, his honor keeps him going, driven by something more than just glory. His huge sword is like a symbol of his power; it’s almost like a metaphor for life. We all have our burdens to carry and it is up to us to deal with them in the best way possible.

Behelit is certainly a step out of the ordinary Slaughter To prevail usually so, but it still falls well within their usual parameters; this won’t change anyone’s mind. Which is good, because what else are you up to? Slaughter To prevail for? Smooth jazz?
