UK nü-gaze group Split Chain: is here to get you into the Halloween spirit with their cover Type O Negative2003 hit “I Don’t Wanna Be Me.” Quite a noticeable departure from their usual sound on the cover, Split Chain: it is simply suggested. “It’s a different vibe, more punk and fast, but we feel like it embraces our fun side.”
Split Chain:The version of “I Don’t Wanna Be Me” is pretty cool because it mostly stays true to the original, but also doesn’t try to be. Type O Negative – the guys have their own sound and they just integrate it into the cover. That, and doing it Peter Steele sound generally doesn’t work well for most people.
