Supergrass have announced a tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album, I need Coco. The 10th leg will take place next year in the UK and will mark the first time the British band will ever perform the album in its entirety live. Check out the full list of Supergrass tour dates below.
Supergrass joined in to announce the big news The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X, where they discussed the importance of the album and joked about having to complete their fitness plan to give fans the high-energy show they deserve. “This is a really special album for us,” said singer Gaz Coombes. “We thought why not celebrate that anniversary while we’re all too old to play those songs because they’re all really fast songs. And my voice is really loud among all.” Watch the full clip of their appearance below.
After forming in 1993 in Oxford, England, Supergrass released six studio albums during their initial run, beginning with I need Coco. That LP went platinum, thanks in part to its smash single “Alright.” Supergrass split in 2010, but reunited in 2019 for several live shows in the following years, including a 2022 Taylor Hawkins tribute concert at Wembley Stadium.
