Lydia might be dreaming about the trips she and Astrid would take and then imagining a romantic future for her daughter whom she meets in the iconic location, or she might be remembering their trip to Dracula’s castle and dreaming it all up. Happens after Astrid sees Vlad.

The movie also ostensibly returns to the Winter River home after Lydia wakes up from her nightmare, so it’s unclear how much time has actually passed since her failed marriage to Betelgeuse.
