Crown Of Thorns: is also The crownFirst album with a guitarist since 2010 Markus Sunessonwho left the group in 2012
“Gone To Hell is a very special song in many ways,” he said The crown guitarist Marco Tervonen.
“As you may have seen on our older albums, there are quite a few songs where the music playsAllsfelt/In Tervon‘ [referring to former bassist Magnus Olsfelt]. But that doesn’t really mean that we wrote the song together. It was about more Magnus “stealing” some riffs from me that never made it onto the albums. So he identified the best materials and incorporated them into his songs.
“But ‘Gone To Hell’ was the first time we wrote anything together. Magnus showed me the main riffs of the song with the bass. We recorded it on a metronome and then I kind of “took it.” I added the melodies, arranged it, wrote the drums and vocals, etc. So that was actually the only song we ever worked on together before he left the band.
“The song is more oriented to the medium tempo. it almost has post-punk elements to it. I personally love it and am very proud of it. I expect to be reading a lot of What’s This Soft Song Spray? people, otherwise I will be very disappointed.”
