Blackpink’s Lisa dropped out of the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards to perform her latest solo singles at Long Island’s UBS Arena. She performed live versions of “Rockstar” and her new Rosalía collaboration, “New Woman.” The Spanish artist was not present at the show, but Lisa was surrounded by floats and backup dancers. Rockstar is nominated for a number of awards at tonight’s ceremony, including Best K-Pop, Best Editing, Best Choreography and Best Art Direction. Lisa’s performance marked her first major performance as a solo artist.
