“We’ve got some creative irons in the fire.”

Alice In Chains has largely remained in the spotlight over the past few years, with some touring and anniversary reissues from both dirty and: A jar of flies. We haven’t received a new one yet Alice In Chains record since Rainier Fog In 2018, it seems like the band is at least starting to think about one.

Although Cantrell notes that he has just begun the promotional cycle for his upcoming solo album I want bloodand nothing will happen until it’s over.

“There are a few things we’re working on, like the album,” he said Cantrell. “We’re going to go on a call [soon]we’ve got some creative irons in the fire, but I’m at the very beginning of this cycle that I’ve committed to, so I’m pretty much just kind of focusing on that.”

He continued. “Right now we’re just coming out of the locks and we’ve all been busy doing our own thing. Jerry is currently on tour for his solo album and I’m doing my thing. “We’ve had a lot of time pressured on us and I think we’re going through a period where we’re going to achieve the things we’ve planned for 2020. [and] 2021 and we’re all finally going to do it now. So it’s kind of on hold and we’re just dealing with all these backlogs of projects that we planned a few years ago. So as we get back into the swing of things and start these dates in late summer, I’m sure it will spark a whole bunch of ideas for what’s next. Alice In Chains studio album.”
