In just a few days, breakage will occur his long-awaited Olympic debut at the 2024 Paris Games, 16 b-boys and 16 b-girls will compete battle-style in front of sold-out stadium crowds, the culmination of years of advocacy, planning and training.

Dancers and dance fans around the world are eager to cheer on the breakers. But when and where can those of us not lucky enough to be in Paris watch them go for the gold?

When it happens:

The Olympic competition includes two disciplines. one for b-boys, one for b-girls.

The women will compete first, on August 9:with preliminary battles starting from: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET: and the final happens later that day, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM ET:.

Men will follow the same schedule the next day. August 10:with qualifiers of: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET: and final by: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM ET:.

Where it happens:

The exclusive events will take place right in the heart of Paris, at: Urban Park in Concord Square. The outdoor stadium is also home to the Olympic Skateboarding, BMX Freestyle and 3×3 Basketball competitions.

What to watch for:

Dancers will begin by competing in battles one at a time in a round robin. The top eight will proceed to the knockout phase where they will be placed in groups. The group winners will advance from the quarter-finals through the semi-finals to the finals, with the winner receiving Olympic gold.
